Su Tesoro

CSU Channel Islands' Literary Journal

By: Jackie Espinoza

Blow. Wipe. Repeat.

Your tesoro.

A cranberry red.

Her engine,

Fuerte, como un caballo.

His long, brown fingers,

Gliding and caressing.

She’s a beauty alright,

And I’m nothing, but a celosa.

No bebe, I won’t ever come between,

I understand.

You open the door,

Subete.

The zarape that protects her,

A shield of colores vibrantes.

I feel her looking at us,

Dos pachucos enamorados.

My vato smiles,

Su Tesoro.
